Spring Break

Ahhh it's spring break once more and I'm highly enjoying my free time doing nothing more than hanging out with friends and family. The spring break pretty much started on a Tuesday night after a weekend of hardcore, 10+ hours of studying. I ditched class on Wednesday since I figure he was just handing out the midterm that I basically failed :( Nothing eventful happened until Friday night.

This night might be one of my most memorable of all the nights thus far. It started out with me going to Alyssa's house, for her birthday dinner. I saw Lisa and Edward for the first time since the Tahoe trip. Thanks again Ed for rescuing my Camelback. Cooking commenced as I got there because apparently they were waiting for the head chef to start making mindblowing, mouth-drooling, tastebuds-screaming food. What I cooked was unheard of before so I named it MASHED POTATOES.

Blah blah blah, people were talking and chillin like old times. Basically just the high school crew and family. Words were exchange, and we got updated with new facts and a combination of crazy and funny stories. We proceeded to getting our drink on and play Cranium! I think our team did the best right?

*Sidenote: I'm currently sitting poolside writing this post and a cat comes up to me and sits with me. This fucker is lucky I'm not fucked enough enough to throw it in the pool.

1 cup of spilt wine, 2 times when Victor messed up, 3 shots/cups of Kamikaze's later, the gang decides to go on a longboarding/biking tour of Downtown SJ. We gather up all our boards and just traveled down parking garages, across uneven pavement, and alongside the Guadalupe river. None of us were super annebriated but it didn't matter because we were together enjoying ourselves.

This night reminded me of my good ol' days when we, the crew, had no cars or any of that. And so we'd walk, bus, and possibly bike somewhere completely aimless.

We had no big responsibilities.
We had no other obligations.
We had nothing else to do.
We had all the time in the world.
We had us.

And as corny as that is and as corny as it sounds, that's the truth. Our whole group can just chill doing next to nothing and I deeply appreciate that. And I'm also sure that everyone who was there that night can also appreciate it.

This time around, we didn't trip curfew! :)

Have a good one, Jah b with you.
